David Simpson
Background
David began his career in Information Technology at the Royal Bank of Scotland in 1986 as an Analyst/Programmer. David held a variety of positions in programming, project management and operations at the Royal Bank, and the Clydesdale Bank before emigrating to the United States in 1993 to join Early, Cloud & Company (ECC), a call center software company which was subsequently acquired by IBM. David was a Senior Manager within IBM Global Services CRM practice when he left to join Quintus, a CRM software solutions provider where he led Professional Services. As one of the Table Group’s first customers, this was where David met Pat Lencioni and his team. They worked together until the acquisition of Quintus by Avaya.
At Avaya, David led the globalization of the Professional Services Organization, through the development and roll out of global process, tools and methodology before assuming responsibility for the whole of Avaya’s Services portfolio outside the United States. With over 1,200 associates in 34 countries, David led the charge of globalizing Avaya Services and aggressively expanding the International Services business, increasing Operating Income by $16m in one year. His team played a major role in Avaya’s huge success supporting the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Korea and Japan.
David holds a B.A. from the University of Glasgow. David and his wife Shona are blessed to have five children. They live in Prosper, TX and David currently serves as a deacon at First Baptist Church Prosper.
